Landry Named to GNAC Weekly Honor Roll
Nashua –
Adam Landry, a sophomore guard from Vernon, Conn. has been named to the
Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) men’s basketball weekly honor
roll as announced by the conference office.
Landry averaged 12.3 points and 4.3 rebounds per game last week as the
Eagles posted a 1-2 mark. He shot 46% from the field (13-28), 43% from the
three point line (6-14) and finished 5 of 8 at the free throw line.
Landry opened his week with 10 points, going 4 of 5 from the floor with two
three pointers and added three rebounds at Emerson on January 29th. He
followed with a season high 14 points, going 5 for 8 from the free throw
line in a loss to Lasell January 31st, and closed the week registering 13
points, going 5 of 9 from the field including three from beyond the arc in a
75-72 victory over Albertus Magnus February 2nd. Over 15 games, Landry is
averaging 3.4 points and 1.9 rebounds.
Under the tutelage of first year Head Coach Jeremy Currier, the Eagles stand
5-13 overall and 3-10 in GNAC play, a half game behind Mount Ida for the
eighth and final post season tournament spot with five league games
remaining. The Eagles return to action Wednesday, February 6 when they
travel to Suffolk for an important GNAC matchup tipping off at 7:00 p.m.
