Becker Tips Eagles, 2-1
Leicester, Mass. - Two first half goals proved to be enough as host Becker
held on for a 2-1 victory over Daniel Webster in a meeting of future NECC
soccer rivals Thursday night.
Dircilino DeBrito and Alie Samura notched goals in the 12th and 36th
minutes, respectively to put the Hawks (3-1) ahead for good.
A Parker Condit tally off a Mike Lohr pass helped the Eagles trim the lead
in half in the 64th, but they could not get the equalizer.
Becker, which finished with a 9-4 shots on goal advantage, saw three saves
from Aaron Fill. Fred Jacobs made six saves for the Eagles.
Daniel Webster opens its final season in GNAC play starting Saturday when
they host Mount Ida at 3:00 p.m.
