Garcia Named NECC Player Of The Week

Nashua – Daniel Webster College men’s soccer player Andre Garcia Bernard of Springfield, Mass. has been named Player of the Week by the New England Collegiate Conference (NECC).

Garcia, a senior forward, netted the game winning strike 20 seconds into overtime as the Eagles nipped host Mitchell College, 1-0 on Sunday, October 25th. It was Garcia’s second goal of the season and helped the Eagles remain undefeated in NECC play as they improved to 5-0 overall with two league games remaining.

Under the guidance of third year Head Coach Bill Lawler, the Eagles are 9-4 overall and have tied the all time program record for wins in a season, set last year.

The Eagles return to action Tuesday night when they visit Lesley University in an important NECC matchup beginning at 8:00 p.m.
