ECAC-Bound: Eagles Earn Sixth Seed, Visit Plymouth State Wednesday
Nashua – Fresh off their first ever New England Collegiate Conference
regular season and tournament title, the Daniel Webster College men’s soccer
team learned its season isn’t over just yet.
The Eagles learned late Monday afternoon that they have been invited to the
eight-team ECAC New England Championship tournament, a first ever selection
for the program.
The
Eagles earned the sixth-seed overall and will travel to third-seeded
Plymouth State University on Wednesday, November 11th. The game kicks off at
4:00 p.m.
The selection is just the third all time for the entire College athletics
program. The men’s lacrosse team earned a bid in 2007 while the men’s
basketball team earned an invitation last season.
The Eagles stand 12-5 overall, continuing the best season in program history
and will face a three-time ECAC champion Panthers program that posted a 9-8
overall record this season, finishing fifth in the Little East Conference.
Wednesday’s matchup will also be the first ever between the two Granite
State programs.
Live stats will also be provided by the Plymouth State office of sports
information. A link can be found here:
