Six Eagles Earn All Conference Accolades
Nashua - Six Daniel Webster College men’s soccer student-athletes have been
honored with all conference selections by the New England Collegiate
Conference.

Bernard |
Sophomore forwards Spencer Bernard of Windsor Locks, Conn. and junior
midfielder Samson Kiberu of Waltham, Mass. earned first team honors, sophomore
forward Alex Jackson of Kent, Ohio, senior midfielder Andre Garcia of
Springfield, Mass. and junior defender Ryan Kunker of Clifton Park, N.Y.
earned second team honors, while
sophomore goalkeeper Joe Keene of Bristol, N.H. has earned honorable mention.
Bernard, an all conference second team selection last season, leads the squad
in goals and total points for the second straight season, currently sporting
eight goals (including three game-winners) and two assists for 18 points in 17
starts. Bernard also earned a NECC Player of the Week award on October 5th and
was named the ECAC New England Division III Player of the Week on October 7th.

Jackson |
Kiberu, an honorable mention selection last season and recently named Most
Valuable Player of the NECC Championship Tournament, has started all 17 games
in the backfield and has been an anchor of a team defense that owns a team
goals against average of 1.09.
Jackson, who was a NECC second-teamer as a freshman, stands fourth in the
squad in total points (16) and leads the squad with eight assists, while
adding four goals including two game-winners. He is a one-time NECC Player of
the Week, earning the honor on September 28th.
Garcia earns his first all-conference nod in his final season rebounding to
post a solid campaign after missing his entire junior year to knee injury. The
two-time Eagle captain has started 16 of 17 games in 2009 and stands third in
team points (16) and goals (6) and is second in assists (4) and has notched
two game-winning strikes. Garcia earned NECC Player of the Week honors on
October 26th.

Keene |
Kunker, in his first season with the Eagles, was an important part of the
Eagle defense, starting 16 of 17 contests and contributed two goals including
the opening score in the NECC championship game.
Keene earns his second successive honorable mention accolade after posting a
1.08 GAA and .846 save percentage with four shutouts. Starting all 17 contests
to date, Keene has played 1,495 minutes allowing just 18 goals and has 99
saves.
Under the guidance of third-year head coach Bill Lawler, the Eagles won both
the NECC regular season and tournament championship and have set a program
record for victories in a season with 12.
The Eagles have also qualified for their first ECAC Division III New England
Championship Tournament and will face Plymouth State University on Wednesday,
November 11th.
