Eagles Topple Suffolk 3-1 For First Win Of Season
Nashua - Rookie Chelsey Crawford (Westfield, Mass.) tallied a match high 14
kills while Samantha Hill (Hudson, N.H.) added seven kills and three service
aces guiding the Daniel Webster College women’s volleyball team past Suffolk
University 3-1 Thursday night at Mario Vagge Gymnasium.
Brier Temple (Concord, N.H.) chipped in with seven kills and Emily Travis
(Somerset, Mass.) knocked down four as the Eagles (1-2) prevailed 25-20,
25-20, 13-25, 25-22 to score their first victory of the 2009 season.
Caitlyn DiPierro (Billerica, Mass.) dished out 28 assists, three digs and
added two aces, while Catherin Ferraro (Litchfield, N.H.) pulled in five
digs.
Kelsey Armstrong-Hann registered nine kills and 10 digs for the Rams (2-2),
while Kelly Loder added nine kills and four blocks.
The Eagles return to action next Tuesday as they visit Becker College in
their NECC season opener at 7:00 p.m.
