Moseley Caps Career With Second Team All Conference Honors
- Will retire as most decorated student-athlete in
College's history -
Nashua -
Her memorable career on the basketball court may have come to its remarkable
conclusion, but the honors for senior Erin Moseley of Sterling, Mass. have not completely run
their course.
Returning to a position that has become almost second nature, Moseley added
another award to her wall of accomplishments as she was named Second Team
All Conference by the Great Northeast Athletic Conference women's basketball
coaches and announced by the conference office this week.
Moseley returns to company she joined a sophomore when she was named Second
Team All Conference. Moseley earning Third Team accolades last season as a
junior.
Her honor makes her the most decorated student-athlete (all-conference
wise) in the College's history as she becomes the first three-time all
conference award-winner in two different sports.
Appropriately perhaps, Moseley surpassed the previously most decorated
player in program history - the same player she surpassed in her final
collegiate game for the program all time scoring record - in the person of
the great Sheryl Arduino '01 who earned First Team All Conference honors in
1999 and again in 2001.

Moseley reached the top of the DWC scoring mountain in her final collegiate
outing on February 23rd against Lasell. Needing 18 points to surpass
Arduino’s 1,404 point marker, Moseley easily surpassed the number,
registering a game high 25. Her record breaker came on a layup with 8:49 to
play.
Moseley capped her career with 1,412 total points with a career average of
15.9 points and 9.3 rebounds per game. She finished as the seventh player in
Great Northeast Athletic Conference history to reach 1,400 points and her
820 total rebounds placed her third all time at DWC and 11th in the GNAC.
Defensively, Moseley’s 141 blocks is first in Eagle history and fifth in the
GNAC. She also retires as the all time program leader in total field goals
and second in total free throws.
On the season, Moseley finished third in GNAC scoring average and led the
team with 16.9 ppg. Her 1.60 blocks per game was fourth best in the league,
while her 8.0 rebounds was a team best and 10th in the conference. She also
finished third in shooting percentage at 49.2-percent and 13th in free throw
shooting (.674).
Playing in all 25 games and starting in 20, Moseley hit for double figures
in scoring 21 times including nine 20-plus outings and hit for over 30 twice
including a 33-point outing against Lyndon State January 17th and a 31-point
eruption against Mitchell February 20th. She also reached double figures in
rebounding seven times including a season best 15 against Pine Manor January
19th. Under the basket, Moseley registered at least three blocks in a game
on eight different occasions.
Remarkably, Moseley was also a three-time All Conference honoree for the
Eagles on the women’s volleyball court, earning second team accolades as a
sophomore, first team as a junior and second team as a senior.
Moseley, who was Daniel Webster’s Female Athlete of the Year last year and
has captained three different sports, is not done with her athletic career
quite yet either. She’ll join the Eagles’ softball squad for the second
straight spring season as a starting pitcher. A tri-captain of the squad,
Moseley posted a 3.29 ERA and hit .245 last season.
